In 1988, Alaska Dive Boat purchased the Sandra B from Coastal Equipment in Amelia, LA. After spending her early years supplying oil rigs in the Gulf of
Mexico, she was destined for eater things. The 13andra B was to undergo a major facelift. Exiting 18 months later, on December 25,1988, she set sail for Kona, Hawaii, as the newly documented
Kona Aggressor. The sleek dive yacht set a new standard in the industry, offering individual heads and hot tub. She was a luxuriously appointed yacht, the likes of which had never before been seen in the live-aboard
business. The competition quickly followed suit and a new world standard was established. Upon replacement by the Kona Aggressor II January 1992, she sailed to Palau, where she was renamed the
Palau Aggressor, cruising the waters of the archipelago for almost two years. In 1994, a new trend-setting catamaran was completed and sent to the Republic of Palau, becoming the new Palau Aggressor II.
With her arrival, the original Palau Aggressor set sail for Tropical Reef Shipyard in Calms, Australia for a complete refitting from stem to stern. As of February 5,1995, the former Sandra B now gracefully skims
above the ghost fleet of Truk Lagoon as the newly christened Truk Aggressor II. BRIDGE The wheel house is the last remnant of the Sandra B's original structure.
It is paneled in South American cedar, framing the latest high-tech navigational systems, ranging from satellite navigation to single side band and VHF communications, radar and weather fax. The vessel may also be controlled
by a starboard and port wing steering station. All our captains are USCG licensed and have many years experience in the lagoon. STATE ROOMS The Truk Aggressor 11 has seven
private, carpeted staterooms, with a queen and single bunk and individual air conditioning controls. All rooms have a private bath with toilet, vanity and plenty of hot water. Staterooms are cleaned daily and all
linens are changed throughout your stay. GALLEY Our restaurant-style galley Is designed to allow our guests to watch and interact with our chef, who offers a large variety of food
and will accommodate any dietary requests with advance notice. MAIN SALON The multilevel salon is functional and attractive, combining utility with superb comfort. For
entertainment, the Truk Aggressor 11 boasts a 2 7' super VHS, CD, tape player, top-of-the line editing equipment and huge dedicated charging area for photographers. A large library of CDs, videos and books is also
available for guests. Abundant seating and comfortable couches make the salon a natural gathering place on the lower decks. DIVE DECK In Truk Lagoon, most of the diving is
done from the main vessel moored directly over the 60 wrecks and dive sites. The large dive platform is at water level with 9'ladders extending underwater for easy exit. The platform has twin freshwater showers for that
refreshing after-dive body and equipment rinse. Just four steps up from the platform is the spacious dive deck, with its camera rinse tank, fountain, E-6 lab, individual dive lockers and three-tiered, carpeted camera table.
The dive deck features a non skid texture for your safety. Waterproof lockers are provided to each guest for gear and diving accessories. Only one tank is needed per diver, as air whip stations are conveniently located
near the lockers, eliminating the need to "manhandle" any of the 80 cubic ft. aluminum cylinders. Tanks are filled in-place between dives. PHOTO CENTER Daily E-6
slide processing and slide viewing tables allow guests to see their Images immediately and gauge results. Ten slide mounts are provided free of charge with each onboard processed roll of film. Additional mounts are
provided at a minimum charge. The Truk Aggressor II has an extensive Inventory of Nikon equipment available, ranging from 15mm wide-angles to an assortment of strobes and lenses. A free loaner is available,
if you should flood your camera. Our photo pros are eager to provide free help and advice throughout the week and are on-hand to teach specialty photography classes. |
