Welcome Aboard TRUK LAGOON's S.S. THORFINN!- one of the world's largest and most seaworthy live-aboard dive cruisers.

The 'Thorfinn' is superbly equipped to serve as your base for dive adventures in TRUK LAGOON, or on a PAN MICRONESIAN "VOYAGE of DISCOVERY". At 170 feet in length, and a displacement of 1,100 tons, you are assured of stable, deep comfort whether diving in Truk or cruising beautiful unexploited outer islands of Micronesia.

Big ship ambience and solid comfort is enjoyed by a maximum of 22 guests in uncrowded luxury.

A spacious comfortably furnished 'C' deck salon features a large ocean aquarium, state-of-the-art multi-system TV / VCR, a Hi-8mm playback unit, a CD video / audio player, all connected to a surround sound 6 speaker system. A fully stocked video library, indirect lighting, view windows and fresh decor add to the ambience of this cozy guest area. An adjacent bar provides complimentary soft drinks, beer, coffee, tea, and other beverage choices.

Eleven air-conditioned staterooms accommodate a total of 22 guests. All rooms feature full vanities, in-room multi-system TV/VCR's, indirect lighting, full length closets, bright carpeting and modern decor. Eight staterooms located on "D" & "E" decks have double or queen-size beds plus an adjacent single berth. Private showers and toilets are fitted in each of these rooms. Three additional rooms on 'C' deck are bright and spacious with semi-private showers and toilets.

A large open-air spa deck aft of main salon features a custom hot tub comfortably seating 12 divers, affording the opportunity to unwind and relax after a dive and enjoy cool drinks under tropical skies. Ample seating surrounds the spa for pleasant guest interfacing.

Two camera tables directly behind main salon adjacent to spa area, provide convenient access for photographers under a protected over deck extension. These tables are served with battery charging points and air gun for camera and housing service. Top of the line underwater rental video cameras and housings are available, and each dive's results can be viewed or played back on main lounge or guest room T/V's. Daily E-6 film processing is complemented with a lounge light table / slide mounting facility, and a Kodak slide projector with over-head screen. Onboard standard voltage is 110 VAC 60 cycles with 208 VAC outlets available in many guest rooms and at a service point on 'D' deck.

Up on "B" deck, chaise lounges permit sun seekers to improve their tans. Shade and cooling breezes under an overhead canopy will suit those caring to read a book, or enjoy the view of a tropic paradise.

Separate dining lounges on "D" deck provide full guest seating simultaneously in three connected areas. Two chefs create a variety of delicious meals and baked goods, with attention paid to all special dietary needs. A friendly dining room staff serve a la carte meals in sit down comfort and convenience.

Under experienced leadership of Captain Lance Higgs and his Trukese wife Narinta, a Micronesian crew of 21 is dedicated to serve your every need. Crew to guest ratios of 1:1 assure a truly pampered visit.
