In addition to souvenirs and tapa items, we feature a range of local carvings and woven products for sale. Our resident carver, Maciu, uses local wood (nawanawa) for his creations. Woven products, such as baskets and purses, are fashioned by women from nearby villages and from residents of Kioa (an island across the Somosomo Strait). Kioans, who are originally from the Polynesian island of Tuvalu, have an entirely different culture and weaving style than Fijians. We also have a variety of postcards, hand painted T-shirts and locally crafted jewelry.
