[Diving Palau] [Dive Sites] [Dive Conditions] [Palau Map]

Seasons
Located seven degrees north of the equator, Palau doesn't really have seasons. It barely has a wet/dry season. Diving is actually good all year round. With things like El Nino affecting the world...it's hard to predict. If there will be a dry season, it will usually be February to June. If there will be a wet season, it will usually be July to September. October to January can sometimes be windy (ocean waves). We take divers out all year round and recommend that you come to Palau whenever your schedule allows it!

Air and Water Temperatures
The air temperature is 85 degrees all year round, water temperature is 75 degrees all year round. Lycra suits are recommended, especially to protect from sun and scratches, but wet suits are not necessary. Let me throw out a little "Palau Amazing Fact," about a year before this famous El Nino was predicted, water current temperature of thermoclines at some sites was recorded at 69 degrees! But this is highly unusual.

Currents
Currents are to be expected at most dive sites - this is what helps attract the fantastic marine life shows! You will always swim with the current and the boat will pick you up at the end of the dive. Currents can only be predicted along with knowledge of the tides for that day (they do change every day by one hour).
