Dive Sites

The diving off Costa Rica's northwest coast is on volcanic rock pinnacles. Most of these  formations are at 40-90 foot depths. Typical dives start at about 40 feet, gradually going  deeper as we move around the pinnacle, then back along the inland side of the pinnacle.  The entire dive normally has colorful Cortez and King Angelfish, Pufferfish, Jewel and  Pacific Moray Eels as well as 3 to 5 different types of Parrotfish and occasional Sea  Turtles. As we get down to about 50-60 feet, we often come into huge schools of Jacks,  Grunts, Mackerel or Spadefish. This is the depth where we tend to see the most Manta Rays,  Bat Rays, Eagle Rays, and White-tipped Sharks.

All  of the local dives are within 45 minutes by boat from the beach. At our long range dive  sites, the Bat Islands and the Catalina Islands, we often see Bull Sharks, schools of  mantas, and occasionally Whale Sharks!

Two tank boat dives leave daily at 8:30 am and 1:00 pm. We have equipment for up to 40  divers and own a 29 ft custom dive boat, a 34 x 11 ft tri-hull pontoon boat, and a 36 ft  aluminum hull Striker. Weights, belts, tanks, guides, snacks and beverages are included.  We have rental equipment and give certification classes. We also give resort courses to  those wishing to try scuba diving for the first time. We wash, store and set up all  equipment for you. We dive over 30 local sites, of which all of our dive masters/instructors are very  familiar with.  Our knowledge of the area (above and below the water) will add to  your safe and enjoyable diving experience in Costa Rica!
