LISSENUNG ISLAND RESORT

The fabulous dive sites of Kavieng are easily accessible from Lissenung Island Resort. The resort features a full-service dive shop complete with 2 compressors, 50 aluminum tanks, 12 full sets of Scubapro/Uwatec rental equipment, and separate freshwater rinse tanks for your gear & camera equipment. PADI dive courses from Open Water through Divemaster, as well as a great number of specialty courses, are available.

The resort's 3 dive boats will have you at any of the dive sites within 20-30 minutes. "Andiamo" (left) is a 26 ft fiberglass boat with a twin 140HP 4-stroke Suzuki outboard engine and can comfortably carry 10 divers. "Raven" (above) is a 24 ft fiberglass boat with a single 115HP 4-stroke outboard engine and can comfortably carry 6-8 divers. "Carola" is a 23 ft fiberglass boat with a single 75HP outboard engine that can carry 4 - 6 divers. With a canopy, equipment boxes, tank racks and a ladder, these boats are perfectly designed for diving.

Boat trips to the outer reefs, drop-offs and wrecks are offered daily. Boats usually depart between 8:30am and 9am for 2 morning dives and return to the island for lunch. In the afternoon, you can either go out for a third boat dive, relax on the island or do a shore dive at Lissenung. Night dives on the house reef are also offered.
